Technical Product Developer

Troy Lee Designs, a leader in motorsports enthusiast products, has an opening for an experienced Technical Product Developer. TLD is a casual, but fast paced working environment with strict deadlines. We are seeking an individual who will work well with the creative team, has a positive attitude, is quality driven and pays close attention to detail.

Job Description:

  • Create tech packs based on concepts from Design Team and ensure information is accurate for vendor access
  • Negotiate with vendors as necessary to ensure resources used are cost effective per the end product goal and pricepoint
  • Ensure product development is on time, to spec and according to tech pack instructions
  • Build functional spreadsheets to track development and ensure accurate production and quality control
  • Review and approve fabric, lab dips, strike offs in a timely manner and ensure a tracking system for color across the line
  • Seek out new manufacturing methods, technologies, fabrics and materials
  • Source new vendors for emerging products, and establish working relationships
  • Communicate with all departments, including Product, Sales and Marketing on collaborating efforts

  • Job Requirements:

  • Must have knowledge of the motorsports industry with at least 3 years as a product developer
  • Experience in apparel construction, design and development, pattern making, sourcing and the ability to manage costs and budgets
  • Must be skilled on a Mac platform with Illustrator & Photoshop
  • Must be proficient in producing complete tech packs in Illustrator format
  • Willing to travel to international vendors as well as domestic & international races and events
  • Positive attitude with strong organizational and time management skills

    Inside Sales Representative

    Troy Lee Designs, a leader in action sports apparel and design, is seeking career minded, self-motivated, experienced person for an in-house sales/territory manager position. .  The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of both motorcycle and bicycle industry apparel markets, its dealers and sales channels.  This is a full time position in Corona, Ca., reporting to our National Sales Manager.

    Job Description:

  • Sell to a select territory of dealers, providing excellent customer service and exhibiting strong sales skills
  • Identify new business opportunities and make contact with prospective customers
  • Assist dealers with inventory analysis and make suggestions for improving inventory
  • Act as contact and resource for warranty issues, technical questions, and other issues
  • Manage and maintain regular contact with Outside Independent Sales Representatives assigned to territory and work together to resolve dealer issues and improve sales

  • Qualifications:

  • College degree with 3 years of experience in a sales environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have 3 years of experience working in the Bicycle or Powersports industry
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically
  • Must be a team player and willing to assist in other areas such as logistics and inside service
  • Proficient knowledge of NetSuite systems/software or another CRM system
