How did you get into MTB?

I got into riding, cause of my older brother and his friends. They would all go riding after school and I knew I wanted to be apart of that..

And how old were you when you started riding?

I was about 6 years old when I got my first mountain bike.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Whistler, BC.

How did you first get introduced to TLD and/or Troy?

I've always known of the brand and really like the product, but I think Cody Swansborough was the first one to really introduce me to the brand and the people that make it work.

How long have you been riding for TLD?

2010 was my first official year being apart of the TLD Family.

Which TLD products are you using?

My top 5 TLD goods would be; D3 Carbon, D2 Carbon, GP Air Jersey and Pants, XC Gloves, and the new Semenuk line.

Do any athletes/riders influence or inspire your style?

Lots! I'm a big fan of other sports and I think that's where I like to get a lot of my inspiration from, whether it's moto, bmx, rally, skiing, skateboarding, etc.

What do you like to do when you're not riding?

Driving, Karting, shooting squirrels.

What bands/music are you into?

Not too picky. My top recent would probably be Arcade Fire.

List three goals you have for the upcoming season:

Goal #1: Progress

Goal #2: Try to win every contest I enter

Goal #3: Stay healthy

List a few highlights of your career:

1st Crankwork Colorado 2008, 2009, 2010

1st Claymore Challenge 2009, 2010

2nd Crankworx Whistler 2009

1st Red Bull Rampage 2008

What's your favorite race/event and why?

My favorite event would be Claymore Challenge and Bearclaw Invitational, because the courses were the most enjoyable to ride.

What's your idea of an epic day riding?

Wake up, cook a big breakfast with my friends, go ride some jumps or slopestyle, then head to the trails for some shuttle laps, and finish it off with a pump track night session, cooking dinner on the campfire.

What's the best thing about being a professional athlete?

Expense reports, Interviews and being away from home for long periods of time.

If you weren't a professional athlete, how would you want to spend your time?

I would want to be the Stig on Top Gear, but I would probably be wearing a paper hat.

If you were running things, what would you change about the industry?

Where to start.. Some of the horrible magazine ad's, 5 Ten shoes, more good Slopestyle courses, more beautiful girls, etc..

Who would you like to thank?

Anyone and everyone that's has supported me or cheered me on.

Any words of wisdom?

Take it to dirt.
