Kasey Kahne has proven he is one of NASCAR's promising young drivers after qualifying for the Chase in 2006, just his third year in the Cup series.
Kahne caught the eye of Ray Evernham before he ever had a Nationwide Series victory and took over the #9 Dodge in 2004 when Bill Elliot retired. He splashed on the sport immediately with two second place finishes in his first three Sprint Cup races, losing those two races by a combined .03 seconds. Kasey went on to win Raybestos Rookie of the Year honors in 2004.
Kasey has managed to score some wins in Sprint Cup but success in the points has eluded him so far in his career. In order for Kasey to truly claim greatness he will have to master NASCAR's point system and start challenging for the title on a regular basis.
Kahne switched to the legendary Hendrick Motorsports team in 2012, replacing Mark Martin.
