How did you get into FMX?
My family, and it all just kind of happened.
How old were you when you started riding?
5 years old.
Where did you grow up?
In the hills of Bakersfield, CA.
How did you first get introduced to TLD and/or Troy?
When I was like, 8 years old, I remember McGrath’s helmets were always the baddest looking out there.
How long have you been riding for TLD?
2012 is my first year.
Which TLD products are you using?
Jersey, pants, kneepads, gearbag.
Do any athletes/riders influence or inspire your style?
I’ve always liked Twitch’s style, but being 6’6” its kind of hard to replicate someone else’s style, so it becomes it’s own.
What do you like to do when you're not riding?
I like to build stuff. Either around the house, van, truck, anything. I like to make customized items that fit my needs.
What bands/music are you into?
Everything… Rock, some rap, country, dustup. Anything with a good beat.
List 3 goals you have for the upcoming season:
1. Stay healthy.
2. Improve my flip tricks.
3. Get invited to big contests.
List a few highlights of your career:
World Champion of BMX racing when I was 9 years old.
3rd Place- 2010 AFMXA Contest.
3rd Place- 2011 R.A.D. Contest.
6th Place- 2006 X-Games Qualifier.
What's your favorite race/event and why?
There’s a FMX show that I do every year for the 4th of July, at the Pomona Fairplex. It’s always a fun show and they have a firework display at the end that is right over the top of your head. The crowd is always huge, and super loud.
What's your idea of an epic day riding?
Riding from my house to the Bakersfield hills after a fresh rain with all my friends who enjoy riding.
What's the best thing about being a professional athlete?
Being able to travel. Also, having kids look up to what you do on a motorcycle is a pretty cool feeling. It seems like not long ago those kids were me. I still think it’s crazy every time someone asks for my autograph.
If you weren't a professional athlete, how would you want to spend your time?
I have no clue… Two wheels has been my whole life. Traveling almost every weekend since I was 8 years old - from BMX, to motocross, to freestyle motocross. It’s all that I know!
If you were running things, what would you change about the industry?
Get rid of the politics in freestyle motocross. Change it back to qualifying for an event, rather than sending out invites to a select few that they think would make for a good TV show.
Who would you like to thank?
My Mom, Dad, and sister. They have helped me out more than I could ever pay back. Also, my sponsors for having my back.
Any words of wisdom?
Those who risk going too far, will never know how far they can go!
